Frequently Asked Questions

Booking a Course

How do I book a course?

> Visit our course calendar here.

> Select your preferred course and date.

> Complete and submit the booking form on the selected course page.

> Choose your preferred payment option (Bank Transfer or Credit Card)
If you choose to pay by credit card, you will be directed to a secure payment portal where you can enter your card details and complete the transaction.

>If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, please select the invoice option. You will then receive a booking confirmation email from contact@LBTC.co.uk, which will include the invoice for payment.

Do you have limited spaces on courses?

Enrolments on scheduled courses are limited to a maximum of 15 participants, with no more than 4 participants from any single organisation to ensure balanced group interaction. If you require training for groups of 5 or more participants from your organisation, please complete and submit an enquiry form on our Bespoke Training page.

When is the course application deadline?

For international participants who require a UK visa, we recommend booking your course at least three months before the start date. This timeframe allows sufficient opportunity to complete a successful visa application and process the course fee payment.

For participants who do not require a UK visa, or are in possession of a valid UK visa, we advise booking at least two months prior to the course start date. This will help ensure your place is secured and that you have adequate time to complete payment and any pre-course requirements.

What happens after I book a training course?

Once we receive your booking request, it will be reviewed by our Programme Director for approval. If your application is approved, we will process your booking and issue an email confirmation, containing your Course Acceptance Letter and Invoice.

If the application is not immediately approved, you will be required to settle the course fee in advance before the booking can be processed. Advance payment is required with more complex applications and can be requested at the discretion of our Programme Director.

Who can help if I need advice on selecting the right programme for me?

Please submit an enquiry form on our Contact Us page, including details of your topic of interest, preferred course duration and dates, and your estimated training budget. A member of our Account Management Team will then review your request and provide you with a shortlist of suitable course options for your consideration.

Are there any language requirements?

Prospective course participants must possess a minimum B1 (Intermediate) level of English proficiency. At this level, individuals can understand the main points of clear, standard communication on familiar topics and can produce simple, connected text on those subjects. They are also able to handle most situations that may arise while travelling in an English-speaking environment.

It is essential that all participants can communicate effectively throughout the course.

Attending a Course

Who delivers the training courses?

Our services are delivered by practising management consultants with extensive, global experience across a wide range of industries. Further information about our experts can be found on the Consultants page.

How is the training delivered?

Our management courses are delivered in a workshop format, whether in-person or online. Our consultants apply relevant theoretical concepts to address the specific learning objectives of participants.

To ensure effective learning, at least 50% of each course is dedicated to practical, activity-based techniques, including class discussions, group activities, case studies, role plays, and business simulations, enabling participants to immediately apply their insights to their own work contexts.

Where will the courses be held?

Our courses are delivered at one of two world-class training venues in London: One Lyric Square in Hammersmith or Chancery House in Holborn. Participants will be informed in advance of the specific venue for their course.

What is the average group size on a course?

The average group size on a course is 6 participants. Although, this could vary depending on the demand and level of the course.

Which application is used to deliver the online courses?

Our live online courses are delivered via Zoom, allowing you to interact with the instructor and fellow participants. You can also engage in group activities through breakout rooms, ensuring a highly interactive and collaborative learning experience.

When do I receive my certificate?

LBTC certificates (accredited by the BAC) are awarded on the final day of training and are provided in both physical and digital formats for your convenience.

Fees and Payments

How can I pay for my training course?

LBTC accepts payments by bank transfer or credit card. When submitting your course booking, please indicate your preferred payment method. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, an invoice will be issued for payment. If you opt to pay by credit card, you will be directed to a secure payment portal to enter your card details and complete the transaction.

When do I need to pay?

Course fee payment must be cleared no later than two months prior to the course start date. This timeframe allows us to organise all logistics and, where applicable, provides sufficient time for you to secure your UK visa before the programme begins.

If you are applying from a country where UK visa processing typically takes longer (e.g., Nigeria, Ghana, or India), we recommend making payment earlier than the two-month deadline to maximise the available processing time. Generally, you may apply for a UK visa up to three months before the course commencement date, so we recommend clearing payment as soon as possible upon booking, in order to do so.

If you do not require a UK visa, payment must still be made no later than two months before the course start date. This two-month window allows us to finalise course numbers and make all necessary arrangements to accommodate the group.

What is included in the course fee?

 > Subject-matter expertise delivered by practising management consultants with extensive, global experience across a wide range of industries.
> Training delivered at a world-class training venue.
> High Quality course material, customised to address participants’ specific learning objectives.
> Post-course Executive Coaching (for 5+ day courses only).
> LBTC Course Certificate (BAC accredited).
> Apple iPad (for 5+ day courses only).
> Light Lunch and Refreshments.
> LBTC Learning pack including writing stationery.

Can I pay the course fee in a different currency?

LBTC also accepts payments in Euros (EUR) and US Dollars (USD). If you would like to be invoiced in an alternative currency, please indicate this when submitting your booking. Our Customer Service team will be happy to process your request accordingly.

Can I get an extension on the payment due date?

Please contact us requesting for the payment due date to be extended. This request will then be forwarded to our finance team for their consideration.

Do I get a discount on multiple bookings or otherwise?

A Group Discount of 15% is available for 4 participants from the same organisation who book to attend the same course on the same date.

For groups of 5 or more participants, our Bespoke Training option offers course fees that are at least 20% lower than the standard prices listed on our website.

Travel and Accommodation

Where will I be staying?

Upon booking a course, participants will be sent a comprehensive handbook featuring hotel recommendations suitable for different budgets and conveniently located within walking distance of our venues. If specific requirements are not met by the handbook recommendations, please contact us, and our customer service team will gladly provide a personalised shortlist for your consideration.

How do I get from the airport to LBTC?

Our recommendation is to use a taxi service that will monitor your flight for any delays so that pick-up can be arranged accordingly. The following company offers this service for all London airports:

o   Express Airport Transport
o   Web: https://www.expressairporttransport.co.uk/
o   Phone: +44 20 3327 6600

Should you have specific travel requirements or want further assistance from a member of our customer service team, please contact us.

Where is the nearest London Underground Station?

Our Hammersmith course venue is conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from Hammersmith Station. Similarly, our Chancery House course venue is walking distance from both Chancery Lane and Holborn Stations. For further details about our location, or assistance with navigating the London Underground, please contact us and a member of our customer service team will be happy to assist you.

Do you provide support with visas?

You may apply for your UK visa once your course fee payment has been cleared. Participants are advised not to submit a visa application before payment, as this could result in the application being rejected.

LBTC is accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC), which is recognised by UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI). Detailed guidance on preparing your visa application and supporting documents can be found in our Participant Handbook.

If you encounter any difficulties after consulting the handbook, please contact us – our expert Customer Service team will be happy to provide detailed guidance and support.

Where can I exchange currency?

Exchanging currency at the airport can be expensive. If necessary, we advise exchanging only enough to cover your immediate travel expenses to the course venue.

For reference, a taxi from the airport to most parts of London typically costs around £150 – £200. If your accommodation is not near the course venue, you may need an additional £100 – £150 to reach LBTC.

Once at the course venue, a member of our Customer Service team will be happy to guide you to the best nearby options for exchanging currency. However, we recommend carrying minimal cash and using card payments whenever possible, as many establishments are now cashless, and it also reduces the risk of theft.

How can I travel in and around London?

The London Underground (the Tube) is the quickest, most convenient, and cost-effective way to travel in and around London, with buses as a close alternative.

If your accommodation is outside London, you will need to travel via the nearest National Rail station to reach one of the major London stations, and then transfer to the Tube to reach the course venue.

London Black Cabs and Uber are also available for travel within the city, though they can be slower and more expensive due to heavy traffic congestion.
