Victor Bahl
Victor qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PWC India and has worked in several senior financial management roles with multinational global companies namely KPMG, IBM and Hitachi over a long career spanning 25 years. Rapid progression in IBM led to postings in senior financial roles in Dubai, Johannesburg, Sweden, Amsterdam and UK
The company sponsored him to do a 2-year Executive MBA programme from 1999-2000 from the London Business School, a Top 5 in the world. Post MBA, he spent 30% of his time on internal training: courses like Finance for Non-Finance Managers, Budgeting, Performance Management and Financial Analysis.
As a Finance Director in Hitachi in the UK, Victor led the Finance/Tax/Treasury teams as Finance Director in Europe, Middle East & Africa, a team spread across 15 countries. Post corporate career in 2012, Victor turned his hand to entrepreneurship and built a retail business with 9 retail outlets from 2012 to 2017 exiting the business via sale.
A passion for knowledge and deep interest in personal and professional growth led him to a career as a Business Consultant/Coach taking on certificate diplomas in Personal Coaching and Business Coaching. Victor was involved as a Business Consultant for an Investment Fund SCube based in Singapore. Part of the fund invests in start-up technology ventures in Asia.
Combining experience in global corporates, entrepreneurship and personal/business coaching, his core responsibilities were to perform monthly business reviews, focus the young entrepreneurs’ minds on “ cost management, “and burn rate” and mentor/coach them on financial metrics and operational milestones to assess progress and achieve business objectives that are presented to investors monthly.
Victor’s skills involve bringing to life theoretical concepts in finance, accounting and strategy with anecdotes from real-life corporate and entrepreneurial experience.
